Thank you to Marla and Blase who got me from barely able to walk with a cane and in excruciating back pain to pain-free. They continually adjusted my plan to keep the progress moving forward. I decided to try the Shockwave therapy to get over the last hump and am now pain-free. I highly recommend these professionals and trust them completely.

I can't say enough about Function Better in Yorkville. The original PT place I was sent to didn't have appointments available for a month. I called Function Better and they fit me in within a week. I was impressed from day 1 when Mike asked if there was anything he and his team could do to be mindful of my anxiety disorder. I really clicked with him and Andy, and also loved the times I got to work with Julie. Mike became like an uncle and Andy became like a brother to me. Being able to talk and joke with Andy and Mike, and talk with Julie about baking, helped the time go by quickly. I found myself looking forward to PT days. I was challenged, but never in a way that I felt was too much. I am not frequently comfortable with people touching me, but I always felt respected and comfortable at Function Better. If an activity I did was too much, whoever I was working with listened and we scaled back. My favorite moment is when I ran unaided for the first time in over half a year. I ran down to where I was supposed to, and when I turned around to go back, every staff member was standing there to watch me run back to them. That sums up what Function Better is to me: a supportive family that helps you get your life back. I loved them so much that I returned to them when I needed PT for another issue. I can't recommend Function Better more!

Dr. Blase Pachura is amazing. Treatment of my husband’s plantar issue resolved in just a few treatments. Pain level was off the chart before treatment and after just the first session he felt 80% relief. Can’t thank you enough! Definitely highly recommended this place.

Function better physical therapy is a fantastic place to have therapy. The staff is wonderful at treating your concerns. The physical therapist know exactly what they’re doing. I definitely would recommend this place.

The Physical Therapists here are great, very knowledgeable. The are consistently checking in to make sure you are engaging everything you need to. They also mix the exercises up so you don’t get bored and you have to THINK to engage.
